Serena Talcott Baughman
Serena grew up in Montana and came to Portland to attend Lewis & Clark College. She received a Bachelor’s degree in Biology and Master’s degree in teaching. After a decade of teaching high school students, she obtained a Masters in Genetic Counseling from the University of British Columbia. She has spent over 9 years as a fertility genetic counselor working with egg donors and recipients. Serena is passionate about providing more support to donors and parents than is typical in the industry. She believes that the donor selection process should focus on a thorough and accurate genetic risk assessment, calm and professional support during the pregnancy, and provision of new genetic and family history information should it arise in the future.

Justin Baughman
Justin grew up in California and came to Portland to obtain a business degree from Lewis & Clark College. He has spent most of his career in the college and professional baseball industry, evaluating talent, fostering relationships with young players and their families, and providing them with ongoing personal, professional, and administrative support. Justin strongly believes that families make better decisions when provided with thorough, transparent information from a source they trust. He is committed to bringing that philosophy to Hope and its pricing model. Justin will focus on technical, finance, and administrative duties, as well as arrange travel accommodations for donors, and complete exit interviews in order to ensure positive experiences for future donors.
