What do you get when you match with Hope?

  • Support

Our mission in creating Hope was to improve the experience of using an agency donor. We achieve this by providing a thorough and accurate presentation of genetic risk prior to the match, collaborating with you and your clinic to minimize surprises and delays during testing, and ensuring that you and the donor are protected legally and financially throughout the process.

We have years of clinical and business experience and a keen awareness of the frustrations parents can encounter during this process.

We also know that parents often need support after pregnancy is achieved or a child is born. We are here.

  • Expertise

We have strong understanding of the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and American Society of Reproductive Medicine (ASRM) guidelines for egg donation. All Hope donors are screened accordingly, which minimizes the risk of matching with a donor who later does not meet the criteria of your clinic.

All Hope donors have a detailed family history assessment with a genetic counselor who has determined that they meet ASRM criteria. You will receive a summary of this assessment, which outlines any increased risks.

Hope has close relationships with psychologists, attorneys, geneticists, and experts in third party reproduction who help guide our policies and navigate difficult situations as they arise.

  • Refunds

At Hope, our goal is to help you match with your perfect donor. After many years working in third party reproduction, we have seen the frustration and disappointment of parents when they learn new information and have to find another donor.

Often, when this happens, parents have lost trust with their agency or clinic and would like to find a donor elsewhere, but they have paid a non-refundable deposit that makes it difficult to start a new search.

At Hope, if there is a medical or genetic reason that your match does not proceed (or your donor chooses not to donate), the agency fee will be refunded less the cost of any services already rendered.

  • Hope Egg Donation understands that matches don’t always work out. Your funds should be used only if you start a cycle with a donor. If a match is canceled prior to the donor receiving injectable medications, your agency fees, donor compensation fees, and travel fees will be refunded to you less the cost of any services that have already been completed.

If the treatment cycle is canceled through no fault of the donor after the donor has started injectable medications and before the egg retrieval, the donor will receive $1,000 in compensation, deducted from your donor compensation fee. This compensation may be withheld if the donor is responsible for the cancellation of the cycle, for example if she tests positive for an infectious disease, is found to be using alcohol, nicotine or any other drugs, fails to take or administer medications as instructed or fails to keep the monitoring appointments required, at the discretion of Hope Egg Donation and your fertility clinic.

Examples of services rendered that may not be reimbursed:

    Escrow fee: $400

Psychological evaluation: ~$500 (cost varies by psychologist)

    Donor insurance policy: $200

    Travel costs: up to $5000
