What do you get when you donate with Hope?

  • Ongoing support and compassion

In order to help parents grow their families, we believe that it is critical for us to have a trusting and supportive relationship with our donors. Our goal is to screen donors fairly but thoroughly, and according to industry guidelines to minimize last-minute disappointment. We support you during the approval process, once you are matched, during the egg donation cycle, and even afterward, as new information is often learned over time.

  • Fertility and genetic testing

During the egg donation process, the IVF clinic will perform certain fertility and genetic tests that allow you to learn about your own reproductive and genetic health. We will help you understand your results and, when necessary, connect you with a medical specialist who can guide your next steps. Donors are often excited for these results, as they can learn important information about themselves and their family members that guide future decision making.

  • Compensation and travel

All donors are compensated for each successful donation. First-time donors will receive $9000. Once you are a proven donor, it increases to $11,000 for your second donation, $13,000 for your third, and $15,000 for each subsequent donation. For each donation, all expenses are paid including medical, insurance, and travel costs for you and a travel companion. We work with fertility clinics all over the country, so you may get to visit somewhere new!

Choosing to be an egg donor should be a rewarding decision. You are helping couples and individuals create their family and they could not do it without your help. Hope Egg Donation brings many years of experience to prepare you for the egg donation process, advocate for you throughout your journey, and support you even after the donation is done.

As an egg donor, you will need to provide detailed personal and family history information in order to meet ASRM (American Society of Reproductive Medicine) requirements. Your photos, personal statements and health information will be placed on Hope’s egg donor database. Parents or “recipients” will review your profile and ultimately “match” with you as their donor. This is where the journey really begins.

After all relevant testing has been done and the recipient’s clinic approves the match from a medical perspective, you will have a psychological evaluation, and a legal agreement between you and the recipients will be created.

Once your egg donation cycle has begun, self-injected hormonal medications are necessary to be able to retrieve as many eggs as possible. You will have some medical monitoring local to you, but eventually you will travel to the recipient’s clinic for final monitoring and egg retrieval.

All travel for you and a companion will be arranged by Hope and the fertility clinic. All expenses will be paid for by the recipient. You will receive partial payment upon the start of injectable medications and the final payment within a few days of egg retrieval.

Compensation rates are as follows…

First donation: $9,000

Second donation: $11,000

Third donation: $13,000

Fourth, fifth and sixth donations: $15,000
